Age Range
We only accept children from the ages of 2 to 5.
Activities
We prepare children for the school curriculum in a fun, enjoyable and pleasant way!
Each day, activities are planned so that children gain meaningful experiences either directly or indirectly through the use of resources, each other and staff, combining the EYFS curriculum.
Activities include: bubbles time, art and craft, dancing, singing and listening to stories, puppet shows, science experiments, language art and writing, role play.
We also have a library area in our settings. The toddlers are often seen having fun with messy play including pasta play, water, sand and ice cubes paints. They equally love stories, songs and mark making using big pencils and crayons.
Even nappy changing potty training or toilet time are opportunities for singing, talking, counting and more!
There are of course, many others activities including those that the children create for themselves and staff!
Child Protection
It is Willow Tree Nursery responsibility to ensure that:
- The welfare of the children is our first priority.
- Each and every child is protected from abuse, whatever their age, culture, disability, gender, racial origin, language and or religious belief.
- Monitoring 24/7 with care and attention, by our committed staff, provides a safe, secure and happy environment.
All staff are required to have an enhanced DBS check prior to being left alone with any child.
Willow Tree Nursery will respond appropriately to any allegations or suspicions of abuse; it will be treated and dealt with in a prompt and sensitive way, following our Child Protection Policy.
Our staff are trained in paediatric first aid to ensure the safety of your child.
Health and Safety
All staff are regularly trained in our Health and Safety Policies.
Equipment
Our indoor and garden toys and equipment are regularly checked and maintained.
