After a long day of work or activities, we get home, take our shoes off and rest.
But we never consider the fact that our shoes have had a long day too and that they also require some “freshening up”.
We have tried many different products in the past and although some of them worked well.
Some of them didn’t, they all had their positives and negatives.

However, after researching and looking at different options available, we discovered this amazing shoe deodorizer called “Boot Banana“, and we have to admit that it is funny and it works incredibly!
The shape of the deodorizer is perfect, given that our shoes and boots are elongated.
This makes the shape of the boot banana ideal for the job.
As mentioned, it is a funny and very brilliantly designed, given that it is themed after a banana.
The smell and lingering scent of a banana, which may be not everyone’s favorite fruit.
But it absolutely removes the bad odors with a pleasant fruity smell.
This Boot Banana is the ideal portable shoe deodorizer too, as you can see in the image above, the bananas can be grouped as a ‘bunch’ (group of bananas).
Also designed for any possible shoes and boots: work shoes, sneakers, gym shoes, ski boots, to name a few!
Rated on Amazon as “4.5 out of 5 stars“, we can say that many people agree that this product is indeed one of the best, if not “the best”!
Usability
Depending of the frequency of the use, they should last between 6 to 12 months.
Boot Banana are able to capable of drying the inside of your shoes/boots within 4 to 6 hours, whilst also absorbing the odors.
Designed to turn “brown” for the customers to see the remaining lifespan of the product.
- Yellow – New and perfect condition
- Brown – Used many times, needs to be changed.
Boot Banana are sold as a pair, therefore the max lifespan if the product would last you a total of 2 years, if you use the highest available lifespan as an indicator.
Personal Review
As an active group, we travel and explore as much as possible.
We only are able to detect the impact of our walking, hiking or sport odor from our shoes and boots after a long day.
However, when one of us brought the Boot Banana on our camping trip, we first laughed because we thought it was a prank or a joke.
But in the morning, we curiously checked the results, we were stunned by just how effective it really is!
Even a friend that dislikes bananas stated the smell is “surprisingly not too strong, pleasant and gets the job done!”
Overall, we would 100% recommend these shoe deodorizers!
Further more, it was absolutely hilarious to see a pair of bananas hanging and jiggling from the backpack when hiking.
